Intimate farm-to-table dining under a canopy of trees
Quiessence is nestled in the back of The Farm at South Mountain. Your outdoor experience begins the minute you step out of your car to stroll down the rustic lane leading up to the restaurant. Come for outdoor dining under a canopy of pecan trees, in a lush setting that feels a million miles away from the desert. Local ingredients allow the chefs to enhance the dishes without complicating them; most of the ingredients are sourced from the neighborhood gardens, creating an unmatched farm-to-table experience; it doesn’t get any more local than this. The menu also includes house-made breads, hand-crafted pastas and local produce. Naturally, the offerings change seasonally, but always include items from the garden, hand-crafted pastas and main courses featuring the finest meats and seafood, seasoned with and accompanied by fresh herbs and vegetables. The wine list includes American varietals, as well as an international reserve list. But the team prioritizes Arizona products in all aspects of its operation, including wines from Arizona’s wine country.
Quiessence is open for dinner Tuesday through Sunday, and closes from late June through early August. In addition to the a la carte menu, a family feast tasting menu and Brick Oven Experience are available.
