A New York-style Parisian bistro
Zinc Bistro seeks to evoke the ambiance of an authentic Parisian bistro, with its round, marble-topped tables and wicker chairs that spill out onto the sidewalk. Tucked inside of the 4,000-square-foot restaurant is a romantic garden patio, lit by candles in the evening and lulled by the relaxing sounds of the fountain in the afternoon. The entire bistro has a bit of an outdoor feel, with the famous oyster bar positioned at the end of the 25-foot zinc bar. Executive Chef and Proprietor Matt Carter was smitten with French gastronomy while cooking at La Chaumiere after graduating from the Scottsdale Culinary Institute. He was inspired to pursue his craft in Paris, where he studied at Le Cordon Bleu, and worked at restaurants that exposed him to the world’s finest cuisine. His menus at Zinc Bistro respect the traditions of bistro cooking, which is based on simplicity of ingredients and presentation. His menus are innovative, yet simple, in a wonderful setting conducive to socializing, people-watching, and dining streetside.
