Sushi Roku

This upscale sushi restaurant inside the prestigious W Scottsdale Hotel prides itself on creating new ways to enjoy sushi and Asian cuisine. The interior is evocative of traditional Japanese architecture, with clean lines, dim lighting, cherry wood tables and an understated staircase to the second floor. One of the exciting lunch items is the custom bento box, where guests can enjoy a combined meal of miso soup, salad, sorbet and choice of two items from the restaurant’s sushi or teriyaki selections. Happy hour at Sushi Roku is from four to six-thirty p.m. daily, and includes $3 beers and sakes, $4 cocktails like the peach saketini and fresh fruit mojito, and small bites including Kobe beef sliders, albacore sashimi and crispy Mahi Mahi tacos. For dinner, guests can choose from a variety of imaginative sushi pairings, like the salmon sashimi carpaccio with soy truffle olive oil or the tuna tartare with yuzu guacamole. Sushi Roku’s entrees span from Chilean sea bass with truffle miso and mashed potatoes to a filet mignon with ginger teriyaki sauce; meat lovers can also select the prime ribeye steak “Japonais,” which is drizzled in a soy garlic sauce and accompanied by Japanese-style potatoes. innovativedining.com/restaurants/sushiroku
