Stockyards Steakhouse

The late pioneer and cattle baron, Edward A. Tovrea, created Stockyards Steakhouse. The Stockyard restaurant opened in 1947 which has since been restored and revitalized and has since been added to the City of Phoenix Historical Register for its role in Arizona’s cattle industry and its relevant architectural style. The Stockyards is Arizona’s original steakhouse and has retained its Old West comfort and charm regaining its foothold’s as one of Phoenix’s favorite steakhouses. Stockyards’ specialties are corn fed Midwestern steaks and prime rib. Customer favorites include liver and onions and calf fries, also known as rocky mountain oysters.
