Tempting juices and delectably filling acai bowls
Steve and Alexis Schulze are just your average couple looking for a perfect morning drink to be a tasty and nutritious alternative to coffee. With a passion for healthy living, they soon realized that their options were limited primarily to home juicing. Knowing that they couldn’t be the only ones on this healthy quest, they began creating concoctions that would eventually make up the Nekter menu. Their first juice bar opened in Costa Mesa in 2010, and quickly expanded into several locations in Orange County and Los Angeles. Today, in addition to those hot spots, Nekter boasts six Arizona locations in Scottsdale, Phoenix, Chandler and Gilbert. Fresh juices and smoothies are packed with vitamins and antioxidants, and the menu has expanded to include tasty snacks like the pitaya bowl topped with crunchy hempseed granola, banana and raw coconut flakes. Kid-sized juices and smoothies help parents on the go make sure that the whole family is getting their daily intake of fruits and veggies. In addition to the fresh juices and smoothies, grab-and-go bottles, healthy snacks and acai bowls, Nekter offers one, two, three and five day cleanse programs with 15 pounds of cold-pressed fruits and veggies packed into a day’s cleanse. Nekter Juice Bar is real food, fast — a healthy alternative to fast food and coffee drinks, but just as convenient.
