Nuevo Latino cuisine showcase

Taking its name from the Spanish word for “desire,” deseo’s Nuevo Latino cuisine pairs traditional Latin American ingredients with contemporary style. Fresh and flavorful dishes include mouthwatering ceviches, grilled and roasted fish, and skillfully prepared meats with South American-inspired marinades, sauces and sides. Can’t decide what to order? Experience everything deseo has to offer at Chef de Cuisine Roberto Madrid’s Thursday night Epicurean Experience. The evening begins with a signature muddled dish, followed by a demonstration of two ceviche dishes, paired with a signature mojito, and is capped off with a three-course dinner of salad, entrée and dessert, each accompanied by a South American wine. Seating for this epicurean adventure is at The Rail, a 12-seat table at the heart of the restaurant, overlooking the kitchen for a truly interactive experience. Signature dishes for dinner include the Churrasco en Tabla for two, a combination of four churrasco swords with Colorado lamb medallion, beef tenderloin, jumbo shrimp, and kurobuta pork tenderloin, accompanied by roasted garlic, cipollini onion and habanero chimichurris. For a seafood selection, try the Arroz con Marisco, also for two, with market fresh fish, shrimp, bay scallops, mussels, clams, and arroz verde. For a true indulgence, try the millionaire tacos of lobster, ahi tuna, Japanese Hamachi and yuca taco (for a decidedly non-millionaire price of $20). Located at The Westin Kierland Resort and Spa, deseo is open for dinner nightly from 6 to 10 p.m., with $6 drinks at the Muddle Bar every evening beginning at 5:30.
